Multimedia is extensively used to make learning interesting and easy. Our comprehensive education programme goes beyond the old 'Chalk n talk' method to 'click n learn' method. The students are taught many skills, primary among them is the skill to construct information autonomously.

The school is introducing a digitized system which will offer facilities like payment of fees, attendance update, academic notices, announcements, feedback and student monitoring. Each child will be allotted a unique ID to enable the parent to log on to the website.

House System

The School is divided into four houses : Daffodils, Carnations, Orchids and Lavender. Each house is under the charge of a House Mistress and has its own Prefects and House Captains (Boys and Girls) who are responsible for the tone of discipline in that 'House' basis. 'House' loyalties are very strong in students. At the end of the year the house gaining highest number of points is declared the winner and awarded the Principal's cup.

Activities & Awards

Our students participate in various competitions and talent search rounds organized for them. These opportunities are working wonders by building their confidence and giving them the exposure to address the audience. We believe in involving them in lots of activities to bring about positive growth and develop their personalities.

Events and Celebrations

As part of our efforts to inculcate in students the appreciation of and respect for our nation's rich heritage and diversity and also to reinforce in them national pride and respect for all, the School celebrates a number of functions including Holi. Easter, Grandparents' Day, Raksha Bandhan, Independence Day. Students had a tree planting session in the school garden under the guidance of a horticulturist who gave the children a lesson in how to plant and tender plants.

Exploring the World

To take teaching/learning beyond the classrooms the school organizes outings and excursions. These trips impart education and adventure at the same time which enables the children to explore and develop their style of expression and appreciate the beauty of nature.

Sports and Summer Camps

"An alert and active mind resides in a healthy body." DPS Jalandhar follows this dictum by offering a wide gamut of sports and games to suit children of all ages. Sports not only offers opportunities for achieving physical prowess and fitness but also develops team spirit, discipline and mental agility assets in today's fast moving and competitive world. Specialist coaches conduct regular coaching in many sports and games including aerobics and table tennis. The cricket pitch inauguarated by Mr. Bishan Singh Bedi and the swimming pool nearing completion are added attractions in the sprtting arena.

A delightful part of the School's landscape is the splash pool which our preprimaries enjoy to the fullest in the summers. Their exited giggles echo in the school when they are in the pool.
